A booster seat that straps to the centre console, so a small dog rides up between the front seats and sees out the window instead of the footwell. One strap wraps the console, two more clip to the headrest bars, and a short tether inside clips to their harness. The outside footprint is 42 by 23 centimetres with 24 centimetre sides (16.5 by 9 by 9.5 inches), kept slim by plastic side plates so the inside stays roomy. It suits pets up to 5 kilograms (11 pounds) and 34 centimetres (13.5 inches) of body length, on consoles at least 23 centimetres (9 inches) wide, and it folds 3 centimetres (1.2 inches) flat between trips.

Fixed at three points

A wide strap around the console and two straps to the headrest bars hold the seat still, so it does not slide when you brake.

Window height, driver's reach

Riding on the console puts them at glass level and within reach of your hand, and the view does the settling for most dogs.

Folds flat, carries out

The seat folds to 3 centimetres (1.2 inches) flat, outside pockets take the small kit, and the shell can carry as a pet bag on arrival.

Questions

Will it fit between my seats?

Measure the console: it needs at least 23 centimetres (9 inches) of width, and it works with single and double door armrests. If your console lid is narrower than that, this is not the seat for your car.

Do I still need a harness?

Yes. Clip the built-in tether to a harness, never a collar, and treat the seat as comfort and containment rather than crash protection.

My dog is 12 lb. Close enough?

No. The sizing is up to 11 pounds and 13.5 inches of body length, and a snug booster is worse than no booster. A seat-mounted carrier is the better buy one size up.

Is this vehicle-specific?

No, deliberately. Vehicle-specific fitment is the single biggest source of returns in car accessories, so everything here mounts with straps or seatbelts and fits any car.

Will my animal actually use the carrier?

Only if you leave it out open for two weeks before the trip and feed a meal a day inside it. A carrier that appears on travel day is a trap. Our checklist walks through it.
